To make an appointment with a tutor, you will need to download a mobile app called听听or search for the "Navigate Student" task from your my.pitt portal to schedule from your computer.听Navigate Student is an app that you鈥檒l use for many resources and services at Pitt.听It will tip you off to important events coming up, can help you find the right fit major, connect you with support, allow you to make appointments with an advisor, and stay ahead of roadblocks.听
This app is available in the Apple Store or Google Play Store, and you can search for it by typing 鈥淣avigate Student."
Once you download the app:
- You will be prompted to select your school (type in:听University of Pittsburgh)
- You will be asked to sign in with your Pitt username and password
- You will be asked to authenticate your login using two-factor authentication (more info on this here:听)
- You will be prompted to fill out a short survey about your academic experiences and interests.
After you鈥檝e taken these steps, use the app to schedule an appointment with a tutor:
Click on the "Appointments"听button on the home screen and then click "Schedule an appointment" at the bottom of your screen.

Choose your preferred date
Find available time听
Select the course you are seeking support for. Only courses in which tutoring is offered that you are enrolled in will be available to schedule.听
Choose an appointment time听that fits your schedule. If you prefer a specific tutor, you can filter the available times by tutor.

In the comments听field听when scheduling an appointment, you can specify exactly what you would like to talk about in your session, if you know. This field is not required.
